The Freams LT New is a top-of-the-range reel from Daiwa, combining exclusive Japanese technologies with the light weight and sensitivity of the LT concept - a new miniaturization concept in Daiwa reel engineering, short for "Light and Tough". This technology features new reel dimensions, smaller and stronger than ever.

The new Tough DigiGear gear, which was used exclusively on much more expensive reels, equips the Freams LT series with improved power transmission, extended durability and impeccable operation, with the best weight/power ratio.

The MagSealed® construction (magnetic sealing principle with a specially created oil) prevents water and dirt particles from entering the spindle, ensuring a long gear life with smooth and uniform operation.

The ATD braking system excels with a much smoother transition between braking intervals, and as a result, it is perfectly suited for the use of textile lines. With ATD, braking starts immediately, right from the start, and the transition to the preset braking force is made in a fraction of a second, thus eliminating line breakage in shock.

Zaion and DS5 - are extremely resistant components resulting from Daiwa's developed carbon processing technology. These carbon components make the reel lighter and stronger than standard graphite. They are 100% corrosion resistant, including in marine use. Light, strong and durable, they are the best materials for Daiwa reels. This also results in a distortion-resistant housing.

Freams reels are designed for freshwater fishing, as well as for sea trout fishing (but can be used equally well for "jigging" for cod and black cod).
